Job description

SPUD.ca is looking for an Outbound Coordinator to join our team in our Burnaby Distribution Centre for evening shifts from 8:30pm to 7:00am. Schedule to be determined and discussed with potential candidates.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the daily pack line activities, from the front line.

  • Training and day-to-day performance coaching of Outbound Team Members and filing out appropriate documents.

  • Lead daily huddles and sync meetings.

  • Monitor and report on Outbound KPIs.

  • Assume responsibility for collective warehouse team, in the absence of supervisors and managers.

  • Engage and develop the team through coaching, support and regular feedback.

  • Lead with positivity and empathy, while ensuring that team members respect their peers and the requirements of their positions.

  • Help develop new procedures and improvements to current procedures.

  • Seek out and engage in opportunities to further personal leadership development.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

  • Experience working in warehousing & distribution

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Desire to actively problem solve and think creatively to improve processes and complete tasks on a daily basis

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • History of working with food, either in a service, retail, or production role, and strong understanding of food safety and quality control processes
