Blush Lane is looking for a Full Time Produce Supervisor to join our growing team at the Bridgeland location in Calgary.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Department Manager with the supervision of produce clerks. This includes assisting with hiring staff, scheduling, giving feedback to employees, and directing the work.
  • Assist the Department Manager with ordering, merchandizing, and customer service.
  • Assist the Department Manager with staff training.
  • Provide excellent customer service by advising customers on selections and ensuring that customers get the products they need.
  • Oversee in-store inventory control including routine counts, stock rotation, new product selection and manager specials to reduce overstock.
  • Check invoices for proper costing. Approve invoices for payment and enter them into the department budget spreadsheet under the supervision of the Produce Manager.
  • Build attractive and creative displays to highlight current promotional products, high-volume, and high-margin products.
  • Additional duties as necessary.

Job requirements

  • High school education with at least 2 years of experience working in a retail setting, preferably in the grocery sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • An interest, background, or work experience in the natural foods industry would be an asset
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Blush Lane software systems would be an asset
  • Must be able to frequently lift 40-50 pounds
